Fleur Boom graduated cum laude for her Master’s in Law at Tilburg University in 2016 with a focus on intellectual property. Both during and after her studies Fleur worked at the legal department of a Dutch furniture designer. Fleur joined LXA Attorneys in March 2017, and currently works on all fields of intellectual property and privacy law.

Fleur particularly focuses on advising and litigating on copyright, designs, trademarks and trade names in the broadest sense.

Fleur's recent work

• Represents numerous clients in opposition and nullity proceedings before the BOIP, the EUIPO as well as the Benelux Court of Justice;
• Represents several fashion and luxury brands in trademark infringement proceedings with regard to counterfeit goods, parallel import, and impaired goods;
• Successfully represented a client in the healthcare sector in appeal proceedings in a trade name dispute;
• Advising clients in the food sector on trademark law and advertising law relating to the creation or development of food products;
• Represented clients in both the fashion industry and in industry of consumer goods relating to cross-border copyright infringement disputes;
• Advising a pharmaceutical company over trade secrets.
