Our practice has grown rapidly over the past few years and we can hold our own against both the big and the boutique firms active in the innovation space. We have a track record we are proud of. Recently, we have handled more than 100 transactions (deal values ranging between 500k and 230M) among which over 50 innovation-related ones, and made over 100 (mostly international) ventures “investment ready”.
Our clientele in the innovation field consists of corporates, investors (including VCs such as Rockstart Energy Fund, Triodos and the new state initiative Invest-NL) and a wide variety of promising start-ups and scaleups.
We have an extensive network and partner with incubators (like YES!Delft) and venture builders (like HealthInc. and Holland Startup) and more and more, we are involved in – or at least shortlisted for – all kinds of projects impacting the innovation space (like Jong Ondernemen’s Startup of the Year Contest and the Benvalor platform “Capital Waters”).

We pursue earning models that are progressive. In other words, no endless billing for hours worked, but always capped, fixed or success fees. And payment conditions hurting the venture as least as possible, such as payment at closing.
Antony started his career at some big-name firms (like De Brauw and DeBreij) before joining LXA in 2016. He heads our Amsterdam office (currently six business law attorneys and two labour law attorneys).
Antony has a great deal of experience in business law and a laser focus on M&A and venture capital.
Since 1 January 2018, Antony has handled more than 35 transactions (mid-market, with deal values ranging from €5 million-€150 million).
Marnix has solid experience practicing business law, and focuses in particular on venture capital, M&A, and private equity transactions. Since 1 January 2018, he has handled over 60 business transactions for investors, corporate clients and qualifying startups.
Apart from traditional transactions and financing transactions, Marnix is frequently consulted on alternative financing forms like cryptocurrency financing. Clients see Marnix as smart, quick and creative.
