Peter has registered the following principal legal practice area in the Netherlands Bar’s register of legal practice areas (rechtsgebiedenregister):

  • Employment Law

Based on this registration, he is required to obtain ten training credits per calender year in each registered principal legal practice area in accordance with the standards set by the Netherlands Bar.

Peter joined LXA Attorneys in 2015 and is leading the LXA Employment department. Before joining LXA Peter was (managing) partner of one of the largest law firms in the south of the Netherlands

Peter has extensive (more than 30 years) expertise in the entire field of employment law. He advises on employee participation, reorganizations and harmonization of employment conditions. As a result of his background, he is also engaged with complex issues and disputes with regard to employment law and company law. This involves, for example, the appointment and dismissal of (statutory) directors, management agreements, mergers and acquisitions and transfer of an undertaking. Peter regularly assists on an executive level and is specialized in contractual severance clauses, Sti and Lti bonus arrangements, and management equity programs.

Peter and his team regularly give lectures and workshops on present-day employment law issues.

Peter is member of the Dutch Employment Lawyers Association (Vereniging Arbeidsrecht Advocaten Nederland ,VAAN) and Rotary Club Vught.

Peter’s recent work 
  • Assistance to various Board members, including CEO’s, in employment conflicts
  • Advising and litigating with respect to breach of non compete clauses or business relations clauses
  • Advising and litigating in Dutch Arbitration with respect to founder and partner of a mid cap accounting firm
  • Advising various companies with respect to restructuring, works counsel issues, social plans and collective dismissal
