Based on this registration, she is required to obtain ten training credits per calender year in each registered principal legal practice area in accordance with the standards set by the Netherlands Bar.

Iris is a member of ECTA’s Anti-Counterfeiting Committee and, in that role, advises on European legislation in the field of combating counterfeiting. She also organises workshops and represents brand owners at customs days, among other events. Iris has successfully completed the S.K. Martens training programme for IP specialists.
Iris van der Wal specialises in intellectual property law and advertising law. She advises and litigates for national and international clients in various sectors, such as fashion, food, media and technology. In doing so, she helps companies protect their intellectual property rights, products and reputation.
In her practice, Iris handles cases in the field of involving trademark law, design law, copyright law, trade names, domain names and advertising. Iris combines legal expertise with a pragmatic approach:
analytical, sharp and solution-focused. She clearly identifies legal risks and translates them into practical advice. She is also persuasive and effective in litigation and negotiations.
