Herman is co-founder of LXA Attorneys and is heading the Commercial Contracts department .

Herman is a specialist in commercial joint ventures, with the emphasis on franchising, agency and distribution. By virtue of his specialisation in franchising, Herman was involved in drawing up all relevant legal documents for a number of large national and international franchise concepts. As its regular lawyer Herman works closely together with the management of the formulas concerned.

In addition to his role as advisor in the area of commercial contracts, Herman has an extensive litigation practice. Within this context he works together with a team of specialised colleagues.

Herman and his team regularly organise seminars, lectures and round table discussions.

Herman passed with honours the Grotius specialization course ‘National and International Contracting’, the most extensive and comprehensive postgraduate course in the field of contract law.

Herman's recent work 

• Assisting and advising the franchisees of a national car rental company regarding the acquisition of the franchise formula
• Representing the interests of an Online Travel Agent in legal proceedings against one of the largest tour operators, in which the termination of the agency relationship was successfully challenged
• Setting up countless franchise organizations in various industries. E.g. healthcare, fastfood, online stores, travel and retail
• Creating all commercial contracts for a global manufacturer of insulating ceiling and wall panels
